About the Remote Association Test (RAT)
A concise introduction — more details coming soon.
What It Measures
RAT evaluates convergent thinking: the ability to find a single insightful link among several ideas. Each item shows three words. Your job is to discover the one word that meaningfully connects all three.
How It Works
Choose a difficulty and solve a short set (typically 10 items). We track accuracy and time. Results summarize your score and streak, with optional saving to your profile.
Example
"Cottage / Swiss / Cake" → Cheese.
Tips
- Think of categories, compounds, and common collocations.
- Try multiple senses of a word (food, place, tool, etc.).
- If stuck, reframe each prompt from different domains.
